Whilst a TIMBA Show happens over a 2 hour period, the impact has far greater reach.
TIMBA Shows start 3 months before the show date with social and traditional media exposure announcing the show and auditions, cast and producers and highlighting mental health awareness.
This year the Central Coast show was part of research project conducted by the Australia National University College and Health and Science. All audience members were part of a pre and post show survey regarding their attitudes to mental illness before show and post show to allow us to guage the effectiveness of a TIMBA Show in reducing stigma through story telling.
Money from tickets sales and sponsorship will be going towards funding free Mental Health First Aid courses for Central Coast community members.
